“Sahand Azaran Copper Industries Co.” has been established as a subsidiary of “Daric Group” with the aim of investment in “Bashmaq Copper Mine”. This mine is located in nine kilometers of north-east of Hashtrud county and 123 kilometers of south-east of Tabriz city, east Azerbaijan province, Iran and average elevation of mine is about 1900 meters above sea level. Exploration works has been started in 2012 and vein type ore has been proved.
The main mineralization of this ore includes copper minerals and beside this valuable metal, there exists gold in this ore. Its reserve has been estimated more than two million tons sulfur minerals with average copper grade of 0.7 percent.
For the time being, a project for construction of a plant is in progress adjacent mine in order to produce copper concentrate with grade of 25-30 % on a 30 hectares area. Capacity of this plant is 1100 tons per day raw material.
